# Lead Boxes: Route Incoming Leads to the Right Agent

> Use lead boxes in Mav.next to control which agent works incoming leads — route everything to one agent or split by source.

A **lead box** decides which [agent](/mav-next/agents-overview) works the leads coming into your account. It's how you connect the leads flowing in from your [marketing sources](/mav-next/marketing-sources) to the agent that should handle them.

## Routing options

<CardGroup cols={2}>
  <Card title="All agents" icon="users">
    Send matching leads to your account's agents broadly — simplest when you run a single agent.
  </Card>

  <Card title="Specific agents" icon="user-check">
    Direct leads to one or more chosen agents — useful when different lines of business or campaigns each have their own agent.
  </Card>
</CardGroup>

## When to use specific routing

<Steps>
  <Step title="Multiple verticals">
    Route auto-insurance leads to your Auto agent and home leads to your Home agent.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Campaign separation">
    Keep a high-intent vendor's leads on a specially tuned agent, separate from the rest.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Team structure">
    Mirror how your reps are organized so the right team gets the right leads.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Note>
  Lead boxes work hand-in-hand with marketing sources: the source tags where a lead came from, and the lead box decides which agent works it. Together they give you clean, predictable routing.
